Parenting
Parenting refers to the process of raising a child from infancy to adulthood, while supporting the child’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development. The most common caretaker in parenting is a biological parent (mother and/or father), but can also be a sibling, grandparent, legal guardian, extended family member, or even a family friend. Sometimes, the government and society can also have a role in child-rearing, especially in the case of orphaned and abandoned children.
